Nurturing Curiosity

Why is the sky blue? How do birds fly?Does a fish sleep? Why is my tooth wiggling?

Curiosity is the root of  creativity, exploration, imagination, and development. Children wonder at everything that they see and want to know why a certain thing is the way it is. They are gifted with a curious mind. At Beautiful Minds we nurture children’s curiosity by acknowledging their questions, shared exploration of their interests, conducting experiments and observations, and reinforce their interests through rich learning experiences and exposure.

The whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds for the purpose of satisfying it afterwards.- Anatole France

Enriching Experiences

We strongly believe experiential learning and enriching individual experiences are vital to improved learning outcomes. Children learn concepts by way of playful experiments, digital games, dramatic play, board games, maker activities, and more in the classroom. We consciously foster a positive, kind, and welcoming classroom where every child feels safe to interact and make friends with peers and teachers.

“Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment”- Maria Montessori

We continually assess, evaluate and adapt, our instruction methods, classroom practices, curriculum, and activities, in response to changing circumstances. We set an example for our children to explore possibilities and to be resourceful by collectively exploring what-ifs

“The wider the range of possibilities we offer the children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences.” – Loris Malaguzzi

Engaging Multiple Intelligences

Our  research on digitally engaging teaching methods, and evidence from empirical experience, makes us a strong believer in engaging multiple intelligences in classroom learning. We are fully aware of each child’s learning style in a classroom. Our carefully crafted multi sensory digital learning activities and instruction delivery methods ensure that we engage all types of learners. We are experts in employing digital multimedia and a rich set of multi sensory learning materials to maximize learning outcomes for all children. We are pleased with the results and the possibilities opened by this multi-learning philosophy.

Making Responsible Choices

At Beautiful Minds, children are thought the importance of making responsible choices and to make their choices independently. Our positive classrooms provide the space and tools for children to make, reflect, and rethink choices in everyday situations. Our methods emphasize making a choice consciously – where children are fully aware of what they choose and why.

Mindful Presence

Beautiful Minds believes that mindful presence is vital to engaged learning, and enhanced social, and emotional skills for both teachers and children. All of our teachers are trained in mindfulness practices, which help them better communicate with students, handle stress, and ultimately creating a positive attuned learning environment in the classroom. In addition to the obvious benefits of self awareness and academic performance, our daily mindfulness practices go a long way in sustaining a child’s attention and engagement in a virtual learning setup. Beginning with short breath observation exercises to guided meditation practices, all our learners practice everyday, and develop a life long habit.
